The New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, is a component of the Giza plateau new project and is located around two kilometers from the Giza pyramids. The museum, which is situated on 117 acres, claims to be the biggest archaeological museum on the entire globe. The largest architectural competition in history, with 1557 submissions from 82 nations, was held. In order to foster direct contact with other local and foreign museums, the Museum will also serve as a global hub of museum communication. The Grand Egyptian Museum has a kids’ museum, a training facility, a convention center, and workshops modeled after ancient Pharaonic locations. The majority of the stone statues currently on exhibit in the old Cairo museum, which is situated on Tahrir Square, will be moved there, but all of the jewelry and the golden King Tut artifacts will stay in the old museum.
